Computers and gadgets have become a necessity in today's digital and modern times. Computers to support work in the office, study, entertainment and support other activities. Likewise with gadgets in the form of mobile phones (HP). HP is a daily communication tool, supports work, and is even used for entertainment and is used to play games.

In everyday life, hands are the foundation for operating computers and gadgets. Conditions that are unnoticed, if the hands are used actively by doing activities that are repetitive, such as typing, bending holding gadgets for long, without being followed by rest can cause tingling. Moreover, followed by working or playing positions with incorrect postures and habits, eventually leading to injuries to the muscles, bones and nerves, especially in the hands.

Tingling generally occurs when one part of the body is burdened, so that it experiences obstacles to the blood supply to the nerves that lead to that part of the body. Tingling is characterized by a feeling, such as being pricked, burning, and even numbness in one part of the hand. But usually, this condition will last only temporarily and disappear slowly.

The tingling will go away in a short time once the blood flow returns to normal. But sometimes, tingling can occur for a longer period of time and is caused by spasm or muscle tension in the hands. Tingling can also occur due to certain conditions such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CST), Trigger Finger and others related to the muscles in the hand.

For office workers, the way of typing is not ergonomic, such as the hand resting on the bottom of the wrist. If this continues for a long time, it can cause the carpal tunnel to swell and press on the median nerve. CTS symptoms can disappear and reappear, so that sometimes it interferes with sufferers in their daily activities.

Using gadgets for too long can cause fingers to become stiff and unable to bend them. This causes the hand tendons to not be able to move freely, to feel tingling and pain at the base of the fingers, especially when straightening or bending the fingers.

Prevention of Tingling Hands

Prevention of cramps, numbness or tingling in the hands is to maintain good muscle and nerve function in the hands. Prevention that can be done include.

  1. Position properly when typing or when using a computer.

  2. Reduce the use of gadgets for a long time without rest.

  3. Intersperse typing activities or when playing games with stretching.

  4. Take drugs or vitamins that support recovery during pain or injury (such as: drugs containing ibuprofen (pain reliever), vitamins B1, B6, and B12).

Tingling in the hands, especially the fingers, is often underestimated because it usually appears briefly and then disappears. However, if this condition occurs repeatedly, you need to be careful because it can indicate the presence of certain health conditions.

Another activity that can be done to stimulate blood flow in the hands so as to recover from pins and needles is by massaging. Remedial massage at certain points on the hands and fingers will improve blood circulation and have a healthy effect on nerve endings.
